Srinivasa Reddy Kandi: Xflow Raises $16.6M With Stripe and PayPal Ventures to Modernize Cross-Border B2B Payments

Xflow Raises $16.6M With Stripe and PayPal Ventures to Modernize Cross-Border B2B Payments:

Indian fintech startup Xflow has secured $16.6 million in Series A funding with support from Stripe and PayPal Ventures, as it aims to strengthen its position in cross-border B2B payments — a space still largely controlled by traditional banks and manual processes.

The funding round was led by General Catalyst, with participation from existing investors Square Peg, Lightspeed, and Moore Capital, while PayPal Ventures joined as a new investor. The all-equity raise values the Bengaluru-based company at $85 million post-money and brings its total funding to over $32 million.

Although domestic payments in India have rapidly digitized, international B2B transactions for exporters continue to depend heavily on banks, often lacking transparency around fees, settlement timelines, and final rupee conversion amounts. This challenge is particularly significant for larger exporters transferring substantial sums into India to cover payroll and operational costs, creating opportunities for fintech infrastructure providers like Xflow to deliver faster and more transparent cross-border payment experiences.

Founded in 2021, Xflow offers payment infrastructure that enables exporters, SaaS businesses, platforms, and freelancers to accept international payments, manage foreign exchange, and settle funds locally in India.

Co-founder Anand Balaji noted that cross-border B2B payments have lagged behind domestic systems such as Unified Payments Interface, highlighting the gap Xflow is working to close.
